Nature & Climate Event for communities in the Cuckmere, East Dean & Friston, and Willingdon & Jevington parishes

East Dean & Friston Parish are hosting a event to share the outcomes of the Nature Recovery and Climate Action Project in their parish, and to learn about what’s already happening, and planned, across the three parishes within the South Downs Way (SDW) loop.

Agenda: 

3.30 to 4.30pm – Networking amongst stalls provided by relevant local traders/services and local groups - including the LNRS team.

5 to 7pm – Public Meeting featuring short presentations from key organisations, including those listed below. There will be time for Q&As and for local groups/projects to share what they’re up to.

• Nature recovery & climate actions affecting the South Downs Way loop - South Downs National Park Authority

• The EDF Nature Recovery & Climate Action Project - Wild Business

• The Seaford to Eastbourne Nature Recovery Project encompassing the Chalk Grassland National Nature Reserve - Natural England

• The Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS) for East Sussex and Brighton & Hove - East Sussex County Council

• Local renaturing projects and the National Trust changing climate ambitions - National Trust

• Reducing the carbon footprint of household energy use  - OVESCO
