Past event08/07/2024 | 10:00 -- 16:00
As part of the LNRS process, a long list of priorities for nature's recovery has been gathered from four sources:
- Ecological evidence
- Existing priorities within published plans and strategies for Sussex, including Local Plans, Catchment Management Plans, Neighbourhood plans, Climate and Tree Strategies etc
- Public Survey responses
- LNRS conversations with individuals, groups and organisations from all sectors.
Workshop attendees:
- East Sussex County Council LNRS team
- West Sussex County Council LNRS team
- Sussex Nature Partnership
- Natural England LNRS Senior Officers
Aim of workshop
- To review the long lists of priorities for nature's recovery that have been gathered for the two LNRS areas for Sussex
- To group priorities into relevant categories and themes
- To score each priority against the proposed shortlisting criteria
- To identify opportunities to further reduce each list, e.g. via rewriting the original priority so that it can be broader.
